It's a cool table / cabinet for the artist or sculptor or steam punk lamp designer! It can be whatever you think! Add a butcher block to the top and you have got a great station for a chef; has a Power cord hole on the bottom.Also the inner platform rises up automatically when you open the lid/ top. Keep a grinding wheel or some other small machine for jewelry making there with a lock on it...
It's in pretty rough shape as far as the paint job goes. We did a quick touchup put some spray paint on the rust spots, so they do not get any worse. However it could stand to be sanded after it's cleaned... And could easily be repainted.
There is also an extension outlet - a two-prong old one on the side with the wire cut off. I would recommend re-wiring that completely with a 20 amp three prong outlet. But you already have the components cut out for that, so it will not be too difficult.
